As much as excellent dental care is our priority, at Lewelling Dental Care, your comfort in the waiting room, exam room and throughout your visit is of the utmost concern.  From the moment you enter through our door, there is no need to feel uncomfortable.  We always make sure that our patients are relaxed.  We offer TVs in all of our treatment rooms, where patients can watch movies and their favorite shows to take their mind off their dental phobias and feel right at home.  To experience this level of comfort for yourself, I personally invite you to setup an appointment and see what sets Lewelling Dental Apart.

Please call 510-276-6040 to schedule an appointment at our office and experience the comfort and convenience that we can provide you.

Orthodontics for the Whole Family

Many patients seeking smile alignments wonder if and which Orthodontic treatments are right for them, and if there’s an ideal time to be fitted.  Is it too early for orthodontics? Is it too late? At my practice, I believe that there’s no “right” age to come in for an Orthodontic treatment.  My patients range from young children that need to correct developmental bite problems to adults that want to better align their smiles.  My practice offers a variety of orthodontic options to help address a wide range of smile needs, including traditional braces, clear braces, Invisalign, early treatment, and six-month braces.

If you are a parent who’s unsure if your child will need braces, it’s best to bring your child in for an orthodontic evaluation at the first site of any crowding, spacing issues or bit misalignment, even if they’re just baby teeth.  At a younger age, it is easier to move the teeth and monitor any problems that will become more difficult to address with age.  As children move away from bottles, pacifiers, thumb sucking habits and incoming baby teeth, bite problems become recognizable.  In order to begin to address these problems at an age where the teeth are more forgiving, I offer early treatment options.  Early treatment will help with major bite problems as the permanent teeth grow in.

For most children, the permanent teeth have grown in by ages ten to thirteen.  At this point, I can offer my patients traditional braces to fix bite and alignment issues permanently.   My patients with traditional braces come in for adjustments every few months.  To make these appointments easier on the parents, I offer after school friendly hours.  I know your schedules are busy, so my staff and I try our best to make appointments more convenient for the whole family.

Older patients and adults tend to want to steer away from traditional braces.  However, this doesn’t mean you can’t have a beautifully straight smile!  I offer clear braces for patients that are concerned about the metallic look of traditional braces.  With clear braces, the brackets and wires blend right in with the natural color of your tooth.  I also offer Invisalign and six-month braces for those of you that want to better align your smiles in less time.  There are many options to choose from and if you have any questions about them or want to discuss what option is best for you, I invite your call and look forward to our appointment to discuss the best orthodontic options for you.

Expect the Unexpected: Emergency Dental Care

While visiting for a checkup should be a pretty regular and expected thing (Remember, twice a year!) I know that the greatest need for dental care can sometimes occur when you least expect it.  If you’ve chipped or knocked out a tooth, experienced a mishap with a recent prosthetic, if you’ve experienced a reaction, or any number of things that could happen that call for emergency care, you should know that my staff and I are here to help you in your moment of need.  If you need a same-day appointment, call us.  We’ll do everything we can to fit you and help you take care of an oral problem.  If you or your child needs urgent care outside of my typical office hours, I can still be reached and will do everything I can to help you keep your smile safe until I’m able to meet with you for face-to-face care.

Parents, make sure you keep the number of Lewelling Dental handy in event of emergency:  510-276-6040.  Oral and maxillofacial injuries can be common among children.  The sooner you contact me for care, the better we can avoid costly or permanent damage.

As the adage goes, “Hope for the best but prepare for the worst”, and that’s exactly what I’m here to do for my patients.

Lewelling Dental Care Accepts Dental Insurance from Numerous Providers

If you’ve gotten a new job, if you’ve gone onto a spouse’s or family member’s insurance plan, or if your company has made the decision to switch insurance providers, you probably don’t have to worry about whether or not your plan will be accepted in our practice.  If you’re not yet a patient and you’re shopping around for dentists in the San Lorenzo area that take your insurance, then please allow me to welcome you to Lewelling Dental Care.

Even in the case of smaller providers, we accept most dental insurance plans.  The administrative staff here works hard to ensure that our patients get the most out of their insurance and that there are no complications when it comes to getting the care you’re entitled to.

In the rare case that we do not accept your insurance, that doesn’t mean you’ll lack access to affordable, quality dental care at my practice.  For pay-out-of-pocket patients, we offer a monthly payment plan that can be modified based on your individual need.

Me and my practice associates want to ensure than you can continue to see us and receive quality, professional dental care no matter your financial situation.  To find out if we take your specific insurance and to learn more about our monthly payment option, please contact my practice directly by calling 510-276-6040, or visit: http://www.lewellingdental.com.

Affordable, Accessible Dental Insurance through Our In-Office Dental Plan

Lack of insurance is a leading cause of neglected dental visits.  When you’re left to pay out of pocket and you simply don’t have the financial flexibility, there are not many options that you have.  This is especially true for my patients who are in need of multiple procedures or dental work that will require numerous visits.  Those costs can really add up and have a detrimental effect on your credit, your savings and other finances.  I am committed to working with all of my patients to ensure that they don’t have to choose between their periodontal health and their budget.  Through Lewelling Dental Care’s in-office dental plan, many of my patients have been able to get the care they need that they otherwise could not afford.

For $21.00 a month, patients are covered for essential periodontal care services at Lewelling Dental Care.  You can enroll at any time and easily switch to an alternative insurance or payment method when it’s available.  If you’re without insurance and you’ve been putting off checkups or necessary dental work as a result, our in-office dental plan can greatly benefit you.

Other financial accommodations we offer include a monthly payment plan, which also allows affordable access to the care you need.

For more information on how you can enroll in our in-office dental plan, please contact my practice directly by calling 510-276-6040, or visit my website to learn more about the patient care and dental services we offer: http://www.lewellingdental.com.

Dentistry is Affordable with our Monthly Payment Plan

WebMD Health News recently cited a 2008 national survey on oral health.  One of the major conclusions of the study was that it was care cost, not fear, which played a bigger role in neglect of oral health and consistent.  It’s unfortunate that more individuals don’t have the means to afford the care they need.  Lack of income for health care has serious negative impact patients of all age groups.  While the 2008 study was centered on Americans between the ages of 18 and 64, children and seniors have extra special requirements when it comes to promoting good oral health—and cost can be a major concern.  For my patients and those in the San Lorenzo are who are need of affordable dental care, I want you to know that cost shouldn’t come between you and the health of your smile. To make dental care affordable for individuals and families, my practice offers a no down payment, interest free monthly payment plan.

The monthly payment plan is designed to make dental care accessible and affordable for all of my patients.  I understand that many people are struggling and tightening their spending as much as possible, but I urge you not to sacrifice your oral health in the process.  If you don’t have insurance and you cannot afford upfront cost for the dental care you need, please contact my practice.  We take the time to work with all of our patients to come to a realistic and affordable monthly payment plan that make sense for them.

For complete information on our monthly payment plan and to schedule your visit, please contact my practice, Lewelling Dental Care by visiting: http://www.lewellingdental.com/ or by calling 510-276-6040.
